Decanter plans Mardi Gras dinner

It’s a little early, but if you’re ready to celebrate Mardi Gras, Decanter in the Bishop Arts District will host Carnival at Decanter, Thursday Feb. 24. The restaurant will seat two dinners, the first beginning at 6 p.m., and the second seating will begin at 8:30 p.m. Executive chef Tony Gardizi will serve a four course, New Orleans inspired meal complete with wine from Oak Cliff Cellars. The event will also include live music and a make-up artist on site to paint Mardi Gras face-masks. Guests are encouraged to come in costume or wear beads and masks because each seating will have a and a costume contest for the restaurant’s 2011 King and Queen of Mardi Gras. Soup: Alligator Gumbo

Entrée: Pan Seared Tilapia

Dessert: Hurricane Injected Beignet with Crème Angelus
