This weekend: shopping, movies, music, parade

The Cozy Cottage hosts a ladies night at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Thursday, March 24. Drink wine and check out jewelry from Stella & Dot.

The Texas Theatre is screening a Winston Churchill documentary, followed by the original “Inglorious Bastards”. Also, there’s this secretive thing happening there Saturday. Sunday, and every Sunday for over a year, get your J.R. Ewing on with a free screening of an episode of the TV show “Dallas”.

Emily Elbert plays at the Kessler tonight, March 24. Do yourself a favor and go see this kid. It’s only $12, and in a few years, you can say you saw her before she was famous. On Friday, they have Jon Dee Graham with RTB2. And on Saturday there’s a burlesque show.

A victory parade to celebrate the Kimball High School boys basketball team winning the 4A state championship is at 10 a.m. Saturday. It starts in the Fiesta parking lot at Ledbetter and Hampton, and it heads west on Ledbetter, then north on Westmoreland to the school for a pep rally.

The Bishop Arts Theater Center has a jazz show Saturday: Mindi Abair and Euge Groove. Tickets are $57.50-$62.50.
