A couple of big things going on tonight, April 21. Lisa Loeb is performing at Jack’s Backyard. And the Texas Theatre is celebrating its 80th birthday. They’re showing the exact same program as opening night in 1931, including Buster Keaton’s “Parlor Bedroom and Bath”. Admission is the 1931 price of 35 cents.

Cliff Notes bookstore offers the next installment of kids story time from 10:30-11 a.m. Saturday. Kessler Theater creative director Jeffrey Liles will read to the little ones.

We already celebrated Earth Day in Oak Cliff last weekend, but the city’s big Earth Day celebration is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday downtown. It looks to be a big honkin’ deal.

The Bishop Arts Theater Center’s Teenagers in Theater troupe performs “Much Ado About Nothing” this weekend. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
