Jonathon’s, in the former Beckley Brewhouse space, should be a welcome addition to Oak Cliff restaurants. The owner, chef and staff are all veterans of Bread Winners, so the food will be tasty and the service friendly. With the large outdoor patio still intact and the current Dallas weather, outdoor dining should be popular for awhile. As for the food, the traditional club included avocado and a fried egg — different but juicy and delicious. The Wednesday soup special was cheeseburger French fry soup and it was just that — try it, you’ll like it. Breakfast and brunch items (for example, chicken and waffles) are served all day and evening. For the time being, Jonathon’s is BYOB and, to me, that’s a plus. My only quibble is the spelling “error” in the name, shouldn’t it be Jonathan’s?
