Oak Cliff Coffee farmer discussion Monday night

This post is coming a bit last-minute, but it’s not too late to attend tonight’s F.R.B.Y. — Farmer to Roaster to Barista to You — the first event of its kind from Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters. Show up at Crooked Tree Coffeehouse at 8 p.m. tonight to hear from Maria Botto and her son, Javier, who are visiting Texas from El Salvador.

Oak Cliff Coffee’s Shannon Neffendorf tells us that the Bottos will share about their farm, Nombre de Dios, as well as the coffee harvesting process and the direct trade relationship with Oak Cliff Coffee. (Building relationships and trading directly with farmers is one of the company’s standards.) And yes, coffee will be served — the Arenal Microlot from Nombre de Dios.
