Over the next two Saturdays, Oak Cliff will have two farmers markets.
The first is 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday, May 14 at Luckie’s Smokehouse. There will be local vendors, a DJ and a guest speaker on composting. Luckie’s will be open and serving Bloody Marys and brisket tacos.
The second is 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the site of the Sylvan|Thirty development. They’ll have food trucks, live music, chef demonstrations and local vendors. Markets at Sylvan|Thirty are expected to recur occasionally, and they will continue when the mixed-use development opens in fall 2012.
