Ask mayor candidates about historic conservation Monday

Preservation Dallas and the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League are organizing a mayoral forum with candidates David Kunkle and Mike Rawlings to focus exclusively on issues related to historic and conservation districts.

The forum is at 7:15 p.m. Monday, June 6 at Caesar Chavez Learning Center.

Jim Schutze of the Dallas Observer and Mary Mapes of the Swiss Avenue Alliance Against Crime will moderate questions for candidates David Kunkle and Mike Rawlings.

The forum is cosponsored by the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League, Preservation Dallas, the Swiss Avenue Historic District, Old East Dallas Association of Neighborhoods and the Dallas Homeowners League.

A general forum with the mayoral candidates, sponsored by the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce, takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9 at Methodist hospital’s Hitt Auditorium. Shelley Kofler of KERA will moderate. Register for the event here.
