Don’t miss the Etsy Craft Party this Friday, June 10 from 7–9 p.m. at Oil & Cotton.
Anyone who knows crafts knows Etsy, and this year marks the sixth anniversary of the Brooklyn-based, online craft marketplace. The free event will include “craftivities” like landscape necklaces, leather cuffs, paper teepees and a community collage as well as spinning demonstrations by local artists, a community weaving project and a screening of the documentary “Handmade Nation: The Rise of DIY, Art, Craft and Design.”
The event will also raise money toward scholarships for kids in the Oak Cliff neighborhood who wish to attend art classes or camps at Oil & Cotton.
