Two more events this weekend: art auction, graffiti wipe-out

The Fort Worth Avenue Development Group’s annual fundraiser is from 8 p.m.-11 p.m. Saturday, June 11,  at the Belmont Hotel. It’s a silent art auction with pieces from local artists made from recycled materials.

The group is using 50 percent of the auction profits for public art on Fort Worth Avenue.

Also on Saturday, from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m., is a “Graffiti Wipe-Out and Trash Attack”, hosted by District 1 City Council member Delia Jasso. Meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Martin Weiss Recreation Center. Crews will be dispatched to different areas of Oak Cliff starting at 9 a.m.
