Entrepreneur Julie McCullough Kim of Make and Made and IndieGenius has a new partner in the fashion show, which spotlights independent designers whose clothes are made locally. Brian Embry, owner and director of the Ross Akard Gallery at the Fairmont Dallas, is the Pin Show’s new executive director.

The 2012 Pin Show will be Feb. 23 at the Fairmont Dallas’s Regency Ballroom. Designers can apply for a spot in the show through Oct. 15.

They also can apply for the three-month artist in residence program, which begins Jan. 1. The designer in residence is provided with a hotel suite and studio workspace at the Fairmont.

The Pin Show also will award more than $2,000 in grants to designers to use in furthering their fashion businesses.
