Popken makes simple, wearable day dresses, and she remakes vintage clothes into things modern women can actually wear. Check out the designer’s facebook page for examples.

But her boutique includes well more than just clothes. The shop is in the ground-floor of the renovated apartment building on Melba that is Popken’s home and studio, and it includes vintage and remade retro furniture.

A grand opening for the Salvage House Boutique starts at at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 16.
