Good restaurant news: a “to-go cantina and coffee spot” is opening inside the new Oak Cliff Cultural Center on Jefferson.

This is sure to be the hottest fashion item of the year in Dallas. The Texas Theatre started selling T-shirts with Lee Harvey Oswald’s face printed on them. Oswald was captured at the theater after the JFK assassination, and the staff there answers questions about it every single day. So why not put it on a T-shirt? The story got picked up by Yahoo news, NBC DFW and several NBC affiliates, including this one in Denver. The kicker: a first run of the $15 T-shirts sold out within a few days. (They have more in stock now.)

Two teenagers were arrested in Connecticut and charged in the killing and robbery of an Oak Cliff convenience store owner on July 3. Already in custody is a 24-year-old accused of being the getaway driver.

DART, which is developing the Oak Cliff Streetcar, submitted its plans to the federal government. It will serve four stops between Union Station and Methodist hospital and will only run Monday-Friday, 5 a.m.-7 p.m.

NBC DFW profiled a local fashion line, Koch, which recently moved its design studio to a space at 428 W. Davis.

The Dallas Voice did a nice profile on the Unitarian Universalist Church of Oak Cliff, which is celebrating its 50-year anniversary.
