This weekend: Music, movies, cocktails

The Kessler Theater has Sarah Jaffe Friday, Aug. 19. Bosque Brown also performs. And The Trishas perform Saturday, Aug. 20. Emily Elbert opens that show.

The Texas Theatre is screening 35 mm prints of “Conan the Barbarian” and “Fright Night” this weekend.

Repotted, the garden store at 700 W. Davis, hosts a free cocktail class, taught by Oddfellows executive chef Brady Williams Saturday at 3 p.m. Williams will demonstrate how to make three drinks, made with organic herbs and fruit, and samples will be served.

Pandarosa Records hosts its eighth-annual artist showcase at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Prophet Bar. Tickets are $10, and the showcase features Pandarosa artists Lakesigns, Jonny the Wham, We Are Not Shepherds, Abraham Kills the Giant, and Embrace a Train.
