Metropolitan Opera to offer free broadcasts to DISD students

The Metropolitan Opera in New York will broadcast three live performances to DISD students starting Saturday, Dec. 10.

DISD is the first school to receive these free broadcasts from the Met. The broadcasts start at 11:55 a.m. at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts. They are open to DISD students in fourth grade and higher, and their families.

The Dec. 10 broadcast is “Faust.” The other performances are “The Enchanted Island” on Jan. 28 and “La Traviata” on April 14.
