Go West Fest, a music festival in a West Dallas warehouse, features 10 Dallas-based bands. It starts at 3 p.m. Saturday and goes until 1 a.m. Tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 Saturday. Performers include Home By Hovercraft, Homespun Remedies, J. Charles and the Trainrobbers and Somebody’s Darling. 
The Davis Foundry opens an exhibit from Oak Cliff-based artist Loren Thrasher Saturday. “Black Magic” features wooden sculptures “utilizing organic and geometric shapes.” The exhibit runs through May 26, and an artist reception is from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, April 14.
Austin-based band Bee vs. Moth wrote a new score to an old silent film, “The Oyster Princess.” It debuted at SXSW, and it screens at the Texas Theatre Saturday at 9 p.m.
