Celebrate National Trails Day with Dallas REI, Texas Land Conservancy, and Groundwork Dallas, Saturday June 2. Join them from 8:45 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Oak Cliff Nature Preserve and volunteer your time to help keep their 120-acres and 8-miles of trails clean. Snacks from Clif Bar and goodies from REI, as well as a complimentary lunch at noon, will be provided. Make sure you bring closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, water, and gloves!

Kid To Zoo at the Dallas Zoo features an evening of kid-friendly food and fun from 6-9 p.m. Children’s singer Eddie Coker performs, while kids enjoy giraffe feedings, bounce houses, bird shows, face painting and more. Tickets cost $60.

The Kessler Theatre has two very different shows to check out this weekend. Saturday, June 2, head down to the Kessler for “An Evening with Unknown Hinson.” Stuart Daniel Baker’s mysterious alter-ego, Unknown Hinson, is a comedic country singer/song-writer and voice actor who is sure to give the audience a hilariously revealing show. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and show time is at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15-$20 each and all ages are available.

Sunday, June 3, is the Kessler’s second show of the weekend featuring singer/song-writer from Texas, Kat Edmonson. She previously performed with Willie Nelson and opened for Smokey Robinson and has a pop-folk sound that is sure to dazzle. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and show time is at 8:30 p.m. All ages are available and tickets are $15-$20 each.
