The Kessler Plaza Neighborhood Association hosts its annual children’s bicycle parade around Moss Park. Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m., with a cookout after the parade.

The city’s official celebration is MetroPCS Fair Park Fourth, from 4-10 p.m. The tradition in Oak Cliff has been to watch the fireworks from the Commerce Street bridge, so we’re guessing there could be some families posted up on our side of Large Marge this year.

There are also Fourth of July fireworks at Lone Star Park and, on Friday July 6, at the Ballpark in Arlington.

If you’d rather celebrate indoors, the Texas Theatre has four screenings of “The Amazing Spiderman,” starting with a 1:30 p.m. matinee.
