In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Turner House, the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts has announced its first ever juried art show, “100 years of Oak Cliff Art.”

The theme of the show, coming September 21-22, is, “100 Years of Oak Cliff Art: Yesterday Today Tomorrow.” Only artists that live or work in the Oak Cliff area codes of 75208, 75203, 75211, 75224 and 75233, may enter into the contest.

The deadline for submission is midnight August 17, and acceptable works include: painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, fabric and photography. Film and video are not included.

Jurors are Lisa Taylor, executive director of Dallas Art Dealers Association, Kenneth Craighead of Craighead Green Gallery and Benita Huerta, director of The Gallery at UTA.

The entry fee is $10, and the grand prize is $500, plus a chance for your work to be installed permanently in the Turner House collection.
