This weekend: Music, photography, taco tour, Spanish film

Friday, Aug. 10, the Kessler features The Deathray Davies, Slobberbone, and Calhoun. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. and all ages are welcome. Tickets range from $15-$22.

Mighty Fine Arts opens “Absurd Beauty,” from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, featuring new work from Oak Cliff-based photographer Richard Doherty.

Saturday, Aug. 11, Taqueria El Si Hay is hosting the best of Dallas taco tour at 1 p.m.. City taco experts will lead a tour through fillings and tortillas from venues like El Si Hay, Velvet Taco on Henderson, and even tamales from La Popular.

Pata Negra film session is back this weekend, Sunday Aug. 12, at the Texas Theatre. “Mondays in the Sun” screens at 7:30 p.m., and a Spanish tapas food truck will be ready at 6:30 p.m.
