Austin-based rock band Montopolis brings their live score of “Man with a Movie Camera” to the Texas Theatre Friday, Sept. 14.

Alseep At The Wheel plays two shows at the Kessler Friday, one at 6:30 p.m. and one at 9. It’s the legendary Western swing band’s tribute to Bob Wills, plus Mandy Barnett singing Patsy Cline tunes.

Dallas City Performance Hall opens with a performance from Pleasant Grove, Seryn and The Relatives.

Learn to research the history of your home at the Winnetka Heights Neighborhood Association’s History 101 at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kessler Theater. Brian Collins from the Texas/Dallas history and archives division of the public library will answer questions and give advice.

Saturday is a day of health and fun for the whole family in the Tyler Davis Art District: Workshops, shopping, games, contests, dance, drums, massage, yoga, chocolate. The neighborhood party is from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
