“The Knight Train,” Kimball Knights marching band

The 27th-annual battle of the high school marching bands this past Saturday featured terrible weather, as usual. We were cold. It was windy. But it was worth it. The event is sponsored by the South Oak Cliff High School band boosters. It costs $10, and that goes toward instruments, uniforms and other things band kids need.

And for $10, it is a lot of entertainment. Along with the high school bands, we also got to see the Langston University Marching Pride Band and the Prairie View A&M Marching Storm Band.

Below is video from Saturday morning’s competition. It includes a clip of Townview’s performance, as well as a very important message from the Sunset Bison marching band.
