Crime prevention and more national night out events

Get hip to crime trends and become more savvy about preventing crime at the Winnetka Heights Neighborhood Association’s “Crime Prevention 101” Saturday, Oct. 6.

There are also a couple of more National Night Out Against Crime events Tuesday, Oct. 2. We’ve already mentioned the events at Methodist and Winnetka Heights.

The Hampton Hills Neighborhood Association’s celebration is from 6:30-8 p.m. at Rosemont Christian Church, with free food and drinks, games, prizes and crime-prevention tips.

Beckley Club Estates meets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Ramsey and Edgemont.

And Sunset Hill Neighborhood Association meets at 6:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
