October is already almost over, and sadly, so is this year’s celebration of all things bicycle. The last Cyclesomatic events are this weekend. A two-day “Spooky Cross” cyclocross race starts out at Rosemont Elementary Saturday and includes a fun, carnival atmosphere for kids, plus the race. In cyclocross, spectators are encouraged to heckle and harass the racers, so bring water guns, noise makers and props. And wear costumes! The second day of racing is Sunday at Dallas Heritage Village.

The Texas Custom Bicycle Show is from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Club Dada. The free show features handmade bicycles from all over the state. This is the first year the show has come to Dallas after three years in Austin.
