We woke early and rode bikes to Four Corners Brewing Co. to watch the Dallas Marathon Sunday morning. A friend who ran the half marathon told me the West Dallas Loop was the most spirited part of the race. We had such a good time high-fiving runners and hollering sassy encouragement at them that my pals and I decided to make it a yearly tradition. It’s fun to watch a marathon from mile 3 (which Four Corners brew master John Sims took to calling “beer mile”) because almost everyone is still smiling, and as a spectator, you don’t have to be reminded that running a marathon is a torturous thing to do to one’s body.

Here are a few pictures from the morning.
