Apocalypse que? What’s up in OC this weekend

1984-a-christmas-story-poster1Apocalypse now? Creo que no, y’all.

But there are a couple of end-of-the-world parties in Oak Cliff Friday.

Ruthie Foster performs at the Kessler Friday, Dec. 21. And Brave Combo performs Saturday, Dec. 22, with the Jitterbug Vipers opening.

The Texas Theatre is screening “A Christmas Story” all weekend as well as the classic spaghetti western “Django.” Behind the screen at the Texas, if you haven’t been back there, is a huge area that is like its own separate venue. On Saturday, Dec. 22, comedians Clint Werth, Shane Torres and Mike Wiebe perform behind the screen.
