dallaswaterlogoNot really, says the city’s assistant director of water operations in a recorded phone message. Nevertheless, most of us will have received a postcard from Dallas Water Utilities detailing a “failure” in a city water treatment plant on Dec. 10, when the plant didn’t “properly disinfect” drinking water for more than four hours.

Why we didn’t hear about this until three weeks after it happened is something I’ll check on – I’ve already left a message with the number on the postcard (shown below). You can leave a message, too, at 214-670-1201. I’m also curious why, if no “adverse compounds” were found in the water after whatever happened happened, we got the postcard in the first place. As far as I can tell, there was no notice of this before the mailing, and I wasn’t able to find anything on the water utilities website.
