The Bishop Arts Theater Center kicks off its speaker series Thursday, Jan. 17, with Everson Walls, who played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1981-89 and retired from the NFL in ’93.
Walls grew up in Richardson, went to Berkner High School and played football at Grambling State University. In 2007, he donated a kidney to former teammate Ron Springs, who had diabetes. Walls wrote about the experience in a 2009 book, A Gift for Ron.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. talk cost $15.
