Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day as well as the President’s inauguration day, everyone knows. But Wednesday. Wednesday is national pie day. And here are ways to celebrate.
City of Ate reports that Emporium Pies is marking the occasion by offering pies all day. Breakfast pie. Lunch pie. Dinner pie. Dessert pie. Snack pie. Pie pie. “That means quiches in the morning and meat pies all day long,” as well as the usual sweet stuff, according to the Emporium Pies twitter feed.
Norma’s is trying out two new pies — Oreo mile-high cream pie and German chocolate pie — and they’re giving them away for free, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, for dine-in customers only.
