Oak Cliff-based artist Stephen Lapthisophon received the 2012 Moss/Chumley award from the Meadows Museum at SMU. The award is given annually to an outstanding North Texas artist who has exhibited professionally for at least 10 years and has a track record as an advocate for the visual arts. World travelers Jeff and Christine Pope brought the Advocate on their recent trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia, “while visiting the amazingly well preserved ancient temples of Angkor Wat,” Christine says.
