New homes planned for Kings Highway

timbergroveAn Austin-based development group has plans to build single-family homes in Kings Highway, near Rosemont Elementary.

City Councilman Scott Griggs has invited the developers to a community meeting this week to discuss their plans. The vacant land, at Kings Highway and Mary Cliff, is the former site of apartments. Rezoning would be required to build single-family homes there.

Griggs will lead a discussion with the developers at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, in the Weiss Auditorium at Methodist hospital.
