The independent fashion show from Oak Cliff resident Julie McCullough, The Pin Show, is coming to West Dallas this year. The fashion show and party start at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Tickets start at $15.

This year’s show features designers from all over Dallas and the United States. To be accepted into the show, designers must have their clothes made entirely in their local economies.

The show, which is directed by Bryan Embry and Mike Thompson, has been spectacular both times I’ve attended. The clothes, the music, the people-watching. It’s a great time.

This year, they’ve invited Hook & Ladder Draught House’s red fire trucks to serve $4 beers. Oh, and it’s all on our side of the river, in the green warehouse at 2900 Bataan.
