Wine and dine: New York pizza, Dry Creek

wine• The people behind the wildly popular Cane Rosso pizza look like they’re going to open a New York-style pizza spot in Oak Cliff, though they’re not sure yet about location.

• Wine of the week: Dry Creek Dry Chenin Blanc 2011 ($10) is an example of what can be done when a winemaker takes chenin blanc seriously — lots of white fruit aromas, a little lemon peel fruit, and a sort of slate-like, fruit pit finish. Available at Spec’s.
