Lake Cliff Park neighborhood resident Liz Goulding recently took over as president of Slow Food Dallas, and she sends word that the entire board is composed of Oak Cliff residents.
The group is hosting a gathering at Craft and Growler, from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23. The topic is “Why Local Beer Matters.”
Craft and Growler owner Kevin Afghani will talk about his relationship with local breweries, and Community Beer Co. owner Kevin Carr will explain his passion for making local beer.
A portion of the money the group spends on beer will go to Slow Food’s goal of creating an urban orchard.
