Happy-camper-web-image2There are only a few weeks left of school, and if you don’t want your kids watching daytime television while eating Hot Pockets all summer, here are a few ideas to keep them busy.

Make and Made offers four week-long summer camps: Sewing, Bags and Accessories, Fashion Design and Fashion Design II. The camps range from $200-$340.

Oil and Cottton offers one-day and weekly camps starting June 5 and running through the third week of August. Camp topics include songwriting, Dr. Seuss, yoga, jewelry making, sculpture, collage, fiber arts, drama, opera and more. The camps range from $25-$200.

Teco Theatrical Productions offers an eight-week drama camp, June 10-Aug. 1, for kids ages 6-12. The camp accepts 50 kids on a first-come, first-served basis. It costs $75 per week.

Junior Players is a free summer camp in which students produce and perform a play. It’s June 17-28 at the Martin Weiss and Keist rec centers and July 8-19 at the Hampton-Illinois Library.
