Local and handmade are the name of the game in two shopping events this weekend.
The Etsy Dallas Spring Bash is in a new venue this year, the Shops at Park Lane. The show, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, April 27, features about 40 vendors from Dallas and all over the region.
Oak Cliff-based vendors in the bash include jewelry designers Kessler Craftsman and Black Moth Studio. Parking and admission are free, and the first 50 shoppers receive a gift bag.
Make and Indiegenius present The Swoon Event, a bridal show featuring handmade and vintage vendors, on Sunday, April 28.
Here’s how organizer Julie McCullough describes it:
“The Swoon Event will primarily feature nontraditional goods, services and inspiration for locals who are planning a wedding or shindig. This show is intended for couples who seek creative touches and value local businesses long after the honeymoon.”
The Swoon Event is from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the Green Warehouse at Trinity Groves, 2900 Bataan.
Parking is free, and tickets cost $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
