Children from impoverished families often rely on the meals they receive at school for their only nutrition, according to the North Texas Food Bank.

As the academic year’s end nears, the National Association of Letter Carriers will host its 21st “Stamp Out Hunger!” food drive to help feed local children. Want to help? You don’t even need to leave your house. On May 11 letter carriers will collect nonperishable foods in non-breakable containers directly from your mailboxes.
