Design work began in 2010 on the new pavilion at Kidd Springs Park, which is being paid for with 2006 bond money. City Council is expected to approve a construction contract this week for the $118,000 pavilion.
It’s not really the coolest of the pavilions the city has commissioned. Some of them have won design awards. But construction will begin next month, and it is expected to be completed in January.
City Council also will approve spending $150,000 to rebuild the Kiest Park pergola.
