East Jefferson at East Colorado, staging area for the Horseshoe Project
The Horseshoe Project is a four-year, $798-million endeavor to replace and improve bridges and roadways on interstates 30 and 35 to downtown and improve traffic flow through the downtown Mixmaster.
Construction begins soon on the project, which will be completed in 2017. The empty land at East Jefferson and East Colorado is to be used as a staging area for construction for the duration of the project.
Pegasus Link Constructors has scheduled a public meeting to discuss the project at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 in the Hitt Auditorium at Methodist hospital.
