West Nile Virus strikes Elmwood again, spraying through Saturday morning

WNV-Elmwood-09-20-13A second case of West Nile Virus has been diagnosed in Elmwood, according to City Councilman Scott Griggs. An Elmwood man died from the virus last week.

The city was expected to spray the area for mosquitoes Thursday night and will spray again Friday night and Saturday morning, between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.  Trucks will spray insecticide from Burlington to Melbourne and from Marlborough nearly to Llewellyn.

Avoid being outdoors during the spraying, and if you come into contact with the insecticide, wash your skin thoroughly with soap and water.
