Police are still looking for the armed robber who has held up at least 15 businesses, many of them in North Oak Cliff, since July. Police say the robber mostly targets insurance agencies in Oak Cliff and Pleasant Grove, but he robbed a phone store this past Sunday.
There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest and indictment.
The suspect, pictured at left on a security camera screen grab, is about 6 feet tall with a slim build and drives a red or maroon SUV.
Also in crime news, two people rammed the rear end of a pickup truck into a 24-hour payday loan place on South Hampton near Illiniois around 3 this morning. They made away with an ATM containing about $6,000. Police found the suspects in a nearby alley transferring the machine into a stolen van and arrested 21-year-old Delvone Strain. They recovered the ATM, but the second suspect got away.
