Oak Cliff-based AIDS Arms Inc. set a record last month, raising $512,125 through LifeWalk. It was the first time the nonprofit healthcare provider has surpassed the half-million mark in its signature fundraiser.
LifeWalk team Guys & Dolls, in its 17th year of fundraising, raised more than ever this year, $86,509. Over the years, that team has raised $682,000. The group puts on a garage sale and a silent auction and art show to raise money, along with soliciting donations for walkers.
