The Texas Theatre is screening “Muscle Shoals” all weekend. It’s a documentary about FAME, the legendary recording studios in Muscle Shoals, Ala. DJ Sir Scott Mack plays soul and R&B jams after the Friday night screening.
The Slow Food Dallas fundraiser, “Coffee, Pie, Oh My!” is from 8-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at Davis Street Espresso. Tickets cost $20 or two for $35 and include a slice from Emporium Pies and pours of Oak Cliff Coffee Co. brew.
RAFT Dallas, a group that aims to encourage use of the Trinity River’s parks and green space, hosts its first event from noon-4 p.m. Satuday at the Santa Fe Trestle Trail Park. The Waterfront Food and Goods Market features craft vendors, food trucks, crafts, games, music and a dog park from Elmwoof.
