Six Oak Cliff events to make your life better

Ben Vossler of AXA Advisors and Oak Cliff-based attorney Melissa Thrailkill offer this free class from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Kessler Park United Methodist Church.

Eat pie, drink coffee and give to Slow Food Dallas. The group’s fundraiser, “Coffee, Pie, Oh My!” is from 8-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at Davis Street Espresso. Tickets cost $20 or two for $35 and include a slice from Emporium Pies and pours of Oak Cliff Coffee Co. brew.

Or be inspired to eat vegan with Matt Frazier, author of “No Meat Athlete” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Spiral Diner.

Or eat donuts with your neighbors and help clean up Winnetka Heights in advance of their Dec. 7 Holiday Home Tour. “Rally for the Alley” neighborhood clean-up starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Jefferson and Montclair.
