A seafood bar and grill on West Davis at Madison opens at 4 p.m. today, Jan. 24.
Pier 247 is a new restaurant from Cecilia Lopez, the owner of 303 Bar and Grill. Part of the building is an old service station, which is owned by Texans Can Academy. Lopez and crew have added about 2,000 square feet onto the original structure, which makes up most of the restaurant proper. The original building will be used as an outdoor seating area.
“We’re going for more of an industrial, dockside feel,” says designer Melissa Pesta.
The menu includes fried oyster and crawfish nachos, po’boys, grilled fish entrees, fried fish baskets, cheeseburger, a shrimp and bacon mac and cheese and seafood enchiladas. Prices range from $8.95 for a fried calamari appetizer to $19.95 for surf and turf. A brunch menu will be available Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
