A couple of other new restaurants have been announced at Trinity Groves. Baker Tracy German is planning Cake Bar, which Eater reports, is just like what it sounds. Cake Bar is expected to open this spring. Trinity Groves founder Phil Romano himself is panning a new restaurant there too. Potato Flats is a concept similar to Subway or Chipotle, wherein diners start with a flattened baked potato and then go down the line to add fixin’s.

Dallas Morning News restaurant critic Leslie Brenner gave chef Omar Flores’s new Trinity Groves restaurant, Casa Rubia, four stars. But then she downgraded her review of Flores’s Oak Cliff restaurant, Driftwood. Womp-womp.

Don’t forget: Thursday is free pie day at Norma’s.
