Muévete Elvis, there’s a new pop star to immortalize in Oak Cliff.
Our neighborhood’s shrine to Tejano-music superstar Selena is throwing a party dedicated to her on March 29. Country Burger, the fast-food place on Hampton at Twelfth, is home to a museum’s worth of Selena memorabilia — dolls, magazines, photos, art, albums.
The Sour Grapes artists collective hosts the party, from 4-7 p.m. Oak Cliff-based DJ Sober provides the tunes. There will be art for sale, and the best part: a Selena lookalike contest.
