The Art Deco Society of Dallas presents the first in a new monthly film series, “Class of ’39” at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15. The film is “Ninotchka,” starring Greta Garbo. Matt Tolentino and the Singapore Slingers perform after the show.
The Texas Theatre also has “Punch Drunk Love” and “Afternoon of a Faun: Tanaquil Le Clercq.”
The Fox and the Bird host their album release party at the Kessler Friday. And on Saturday, a film plays at the Kessler, “Twenty Feet from Stardom,” the Oscar-winning documentary about back-up singers.
The Foundry has California Wives with Gold Mask Friday and Uneasy Pilgrim with Dead Beat Poetry Saturday.
