Work on the new Big Lots at Hampton and Fort Worth Avenue is moving along. The store is scheduled to open on May 22 — not too far off their original projection.
It was confirmed back in September that the closeout retailer would take over the space formerly occupied by the Minyard grocery store, which closed in the fall of 2012 after more than 40 years of business at that corner.
You can expect the same offerings here as other Big Lots stores such as discounted housewares, furniture, electronics, groceries and other items.
