Mayor Mike Rawlings’ Grow South Initiative awarded $9,157 to the Elmwood Neighborhood Association for a dog park.

The neighborhood association throws pop-up dog parks at 2100 S. Edgefield every month. That pop-up park, Elmwoof, is the proposed site of the permanent dog park.

The green space already was there, so to form the permanent park, they plan to build fences and add benches. It’s expected to open by the end of April.
