Restaurant round up: Driftwood changes, BBQ shark, ranch gate

1495549_10101401869868433_83589293_nChef Justin Holt of pop-up ramen shop fame has left Driftwood to become co-sous chef at Lucia with Mike Gibson.

Former Driftwood chef Omar Flores, who received a five-star review and a James Beard Award nomination for his new venture, Casa Rubia, has sold his stake in Driftwood to partner Sal Jafar. Jafar hired Kyle McClelland formerly of Cedars Social and most recently at Prospect in Brooklyn, N.Y., as head chef of Driftwood.

Lockhart Smokehouse has been serving barbecue shark on Fridays.
